Dr. Funmi proceeded to the United Kingdom to undertake her post-graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She qualified as a registered Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist on 11th July 2001. She worked at various NHS Hospitals in London, Leicester and Birmingham. Her last post was at Birmingham City Hospital and Sandwell General Hospital, Birmingham as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist.

Dr. Elijah secured a scholarship to pursue his diploma in Urology at University of London, United Kingdom in 1987. He completed his studies in record time. He was a registrar at the Institute of Urology, London from 1987 to 1988. In July 1998, he earned his Doctor of Medicine Degree (MD), from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom. He was a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.
